The instant Ramen Museum - Momofuku Andō

The Instant Ramen Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of Japanese instant noodles, cup noodles and their creator and founder, Momofuku Andō.

There are two such museums in Japan:

  •     The Yokohama Instant Ramen Museum or CupNoodles Museum ã‚« ッ プ ヌ ー ド ル ミ ュ ー ジ ã‚¢ ム 安藤 百福 発 明 記念 館 located in the Naka-ku district of Yokohama. It has an area of almost 10,000 m² and is spread over several floors. Owned by the food group Nissin Foods, the museum tells the story of this 20th-century Japanese invention through outlandish exhibits and hands-on workshops.

  •     Ikeda Instant Ramen Museum, also called Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum イ ン ス ã‚¿ ン ト ラ ー メ ン 発 明 記念 館, is located in the district of Masumicho in Ikeda. It houses a full collection of instant ramen packs sold over time.

Both museums have a My Cup Noodles Factory where each visitor can create and customize their ramen package.

It will have happened to everyone, at least once in their life, to taste ramen, or noodles, in short, those Japanese noodles now famous all over the world, even in the instant "supermarket" version.

This delicacy was invented in the 1950s by Mr. Momofuku Ando, and given the worldwide success they thought it best to dedicate an entire museum to it.

Here you can know everything about the history of instant ramen, of course, but also create your own soup by choosing each ingredient and try your hand at preparing chicken ramen in one of the special workshops.
